Drinking plain water can get boring. Here a five, healthy ways to add vitamins, minerals, and flavor to your water. Supercharge your water!
Lemon water balances your pH, detoxes, helps with digestion, and aids in promoting clear skin. A glass of lemon water in the morning will give you a nice kick of energy. Squeeze half of a lemon in to your glass of water.
Apple Cider Vinegar Water
Apple cider vinegar is packed with potassium. Some doctors believe potassium deficiency is linked to dark, under eye circles. Apple cider vinegar also balances your pH, fights colds, clears up your skin, and detoxes your body. A little goes a long way with apple cider vinegar. 2 tablespoons is all you need in a glass of water.
Settle down for some hot tea. Be sure to buy organic when possible. Different herbal teas have different benefits. From antioxidant rich green teas to relaxing chamomile, the options are endless.
Herb Infused Water
My favorite herbs to add to my water are parsley and cilantro. Both will add vitamins and minerals to your water. Also, parsley and cilantro will help to remove toxins and heavy metals from your body. Amazing right? I also made a lemon cucumber infused water. Some days I would add parsley to my lemon cucumber water to give it a different, delicious flavor.
Try your favorite fruits in water. My favorite is pineapple infused water. Much lighter than traditional pineapple juice but plenty of flavor. You should also try melons, oranges, and berries for a refreshing twist.
I aim for about 100 ounces of water each day. Switching up the way I drink my water makes this goal so much easier.
