How many times have you bought your hair idol’s new favorite deep conditioner because of the rave reviews only to find that it didn’t do much for your hair or worse it was great but entirely too expensive? I know that over the years my product junkyism has caused me to spend a fortune on deep conditioners. Searching for the perfect deep conditioner can be time-consuming and costly. The deep conditioner is the quintessential product for healthy hair. A great deep conditioner nourishes and replenishes the hair while reconstructing it. After a long, hard week a good deep conditioner smooths the hair leaving it lush. After my years of searching for this mystical, holy grail of deep conditioners I was surprised to find that I had this product right in my kitchen. This recipe is from HeyFranHey’s youtube channel but it is slightly remixed to suit my hair needs.
What you will need:
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
1 Tablespoon Raw Organic Honey
- Combine all the above ingredients and blend until smooth. Any lumps in the mixture will be a pain to rinse out.
- Slather the mixture on to your hair and cover with a plastic cap for 30mins-1hr.
Avocados are a great source of fatty acids and provide a host of vitamins and minerals. The banana provides slip to the hair. The coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft and nourishes the hair from within. This will reduce hair breakage. The olive oil also penetrates the hair and contain healthy fats to give our hair shine. It also contains Vitamin E which is good for protecting and nourishing the hair. The coconut milk provides the protein which will work to strengthen your hair. The honey will act as a humectant and draw moisture to the hair.
After using this deep conditioner my hair was soft, shiny, and had crazy curl definition. Best of all this conditioner is relatively inexpensive. You should definitely try this and let me know how it works out for you.
