This inexpensive product kills mold, germs, and bacteria. Use it to deodorize anything from garbage disposals to toilet bowls. Kill germs on counter tops or use it shine chrome sink fixtures. The possibilities are endless.
Put an opened box of baking soda in your refrigerator to help get rid of unpleasant odors. Use it to scour pots and pans. Also, you may use it to help your laundry get cleaner by adding 1/3 cup to your washer. Baking soda can also unclog drains. Pour a box of baking soda down the clogged drain then add 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Let it work for 30 minutes then rinse with hot water. Voila! An unclogged drain.
Lemons smell absolutely delightful. Throw the rind of a lemon in your garbage disposal to freshen it. Also you can freshen your cutting boards by rubbing it with a halved lemon.
You can’t go wrong with having a few essential oils on hand. My favorites are tea tree oil, lemon, lavender, and peppermint. Essential oils have bacteria killing properties and can be added to any cleaning solution for a refreshing, natural fragrance. If you get a small cut in the kitchen use lavender essential oil to help stop bleeding. When choosing essential oils be sure to choose pure essential oils and not synthetic fragrances.
Have a happy home!
